been away too long!

i have been away from the laptop...trying to recover from india and get back to my reality at home.....miss this forum, have had many chances to recommend it in the past few months!

the bad news is most of my fabulous indian outfits are no longer wearable. (its too cold, they have not like my washing machine, etc). most of my fabulous indian jewellery is in a jar in my bathroom (it seemed appropriate when i was in india...), i still havent posted a single photos (have over 500!!). the great news is that i miss india like crazy!!! since i cant get back on a plane, i am doing the next best thing! sending mr ikimasho!!!

i guess i have talked him into his first holiday in three years!! yeay!!!

so here is his plan: he wants to leave japan in january, visit taiwan, cambodia, malaysia and probably thailand on the way to/from india.

i have suggested fly to bankok, train to cambodia, train back to bankok, train to malaysia, flight/boat ?? to singapore, flight to chennai to start the trip...i did not figure out how to work taiwan into the intinerary, maybe fly back to bankok and book a return flight to bankok and then fly back to japan....

his main interests in india are seeing ancient ruins, temples. shrines, place of significant historical influence. (totally different from my trip so i hesitate to advise too much!!) your thoughts/comments are most appreciated!

he hasnt said how long he will be going - so let us assume he has a few months and a few dollars....what do you think??
