Beaches
Can anyone recommend any good beaches on the east coast of India?
On the west coast, what's Gokarn like? Any budget accommodation recommendations esp. bungalows for 2-4 people........ Thanks |

Auroville in Tamil Nadu has a nice beach, big waves and a few nice beach huts but the people and "The Auroville Project" are quite strange and surprisingly unhappy. It's a commune with 1500 people from around the world, plus some Indians, so do your research before going. Not my thing at all.
Gokarna is nice, lots of different beaches. Om Beach is my favorite, just stay at one and go for a long walk south to see the others... |
