| attractions for teens and pre-teens My wife and I will be in Sri Lanka ( one week) and South India (for five weeks), starting on June 30, and have daughters aged 14 and 11. I would love to hear about any attractions or events in the region that might appeal to them. - Water parks? - Places to learn crafts? - They made batiks in Bali and enjoyed that greatly - Non-disgusting zoos? - We loved the one in Singapore. - nice botanical gardens? - any other good ideas more than welcome We will land in Bangalore, head north to Hampi, be in the Mysore area, head down to Kerala for a back-water trip, then cruise along the Tamil temple route through Madurai towards Mamallapuram. Anything on or near this route that might appeal to two intelligent, well travelled girls? My youngest loves bats, so we'll be looking for them every chance we get. thanks for any tips |

| Hi Ian, do this in Chennai... 1. See Sunrise at Mahabalipuram ( it happens really early..check timings with locals ) 2. have break fast buffee at Fishermans cove 3. Drive to Pondicherry - go around the place - have lunch at Rendevous and dinner at Le Bistro - their food is awesome Stay at pondicherry for the night..... On the way back to chennai on East coast road ( the same road on which Fisher man's cove is in ) go to Crocodile bank and Dakshin Chitra. Dakshin Chitra is the local artisans village - they teach pottery, and glass blowing -it is good.
