anyone heard of a indian "traveller" forum ?
anyone heard of a indian "traveller" forum ?
hi folks !
Just wanting to ask a question ....
Are there any indian travel forums, i mean, forums for indians travelling abroad that you might have heard of ?
You know, the kind of place, similar to this one, but where you can exchange good GH, travelling advice, cultural insights posted from an indian point of view about lets say brazil, algeria, laos, indonesia, thailand, etc, etc ?
I know, India is a country travelled to, not a big country of tourists. Even those indians abroad spend their vacations in India.
As of indian origin, and a traveller, i'm amazed to be most of the time alone, in many countries, where they never heard of indian tourists. The indians being, the local grocery or bazar store keppers,or jewel shops and restaurant owners.
It would be interesting to have an indian point about independant travelling .... at least ....if not be .... share a common point of view ?
As a regular Lonely planet post-geek, I feel somewhow dismayed, that there so few indians posting travel information about other countries than theirs. I hardly post travel information about india.
I mean in Europe, in most countries, you wouldn't find forums of people giving travel advice of their respective countries. In Asia, you have the exact opposite, Thailand being the front-runner, India not lagging far behind.
Is the world divided in being tourist and being touristed ?
Thanks for your replies or comments .....
PS: sorry for my english, it isn't my native language.
