Question Any IMers from Africa

out there?..........If so from where?

I feel as tho I'm the only one and if anyone is hiding, please show yourself

If you were in Africa before leaving, where are you now and where were you living in Africa?
Happiness is for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched and those who have tried. For only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. (Anon.)

I've also been wondering about Indimikers from Africa. I'm in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and off to Kashmir, Ladhak and then Rasjhastan on 18 June (ah, the heat, I know, I know).

Wandering_Kat............Cape Town hey??? Wonderful, beautiful city. I can't think why anyone would opt for the UK and its weather after Cape Town - to each his own I suppose And soon off to India..........lucky you!!!

Ona from P.E. - also the coast............oh to be by the sea Not long to go before you're on your way - Enjoy - Rajasthan, it's terrific - even with the heat!

Off Topic - Cyberhippie............How can you say that to Wandering_Kat when your avatar is in a kilt and you're in Holland??? - I'd say that was also pretty cosmopolitan???

£££ - I can totally relate!! £'s here are like "hen's teeth".

I do hope you manage to get back to CT one day for a visit - just to sniff the Atlantic if nothing else and, of course, a trip up Table Mountain

I lived in CT for a short while, in Sea Point (3 Anchor Bay) and also went to school there. Whereabouts were you and when did you decide to go to the UK?

In my 8yrs in London, i've yet to miss an annual trip home (but that'll change with the upcoming, extended trip to india!).
I've stayed in Noordhoek/Fish Hoek/Hout Bay - parents are still there so i have a home! Never planned to stay here - i just "popped over" from israel and ended up staying!

Wow, small world...........I was in Noordhoek for a holiday a few years' back - beautiful little "village", amazing sea views and Lions Head in the background. I stayed in a lovely lil wooden cottage on stilts right near the beach.

And in two weeks you'll be in India.........WOW..........I don't envy you having to make the choice between Cape Town and India - two such diverse places and each so special in their own way. Israel is also special, but I wasn't able to travel around much as funds were a bit on the short side, but I had a blast anyway.

Looks as tho there are only 3 IMers from Africa who've been/are going to India............I think we'd better try and do some recruiting.

Did you stay in Monkey Valley? Sounds like it from the description. But i've never managed to see Lion's Head from N'hoek?!?! Do you mean Chapman's Peak?

Oooopsey..............yes, Chapman's Peak (blonde you understand) - can still the road around the mountain leading down to Noordhoek, waiting for a certain person to arrive on a motor bike I think Chapman's Peak was closed for a while - last year sometime - with all the rock falls. Hope it's been re-opened.
