And now Delhi got it's TOURIST POLICE

A special tourist wing is deployed at atleast 10 places of Delhi frequented by tourist.This wing of tourist police will provide information on locations of interest,transportation,fare,h otels and ensure that tourist are not harassed by peddlers,touts etc.They also will guide tourist about local customs.matters relating to visa and passport,procuring tickets for monuments,movies and providing medical help will be a part of their service too.
Delhi tourist police is next one to be followed by the states of Rajastan,HP,Goa, and JK.

Their task is to provide an overall feeling of welcome to tourist.

Good News for tourist droping at New Delhi.

How long before some clever tout passes himself off as a special "tourist" police and attempts to make a living by "guiding" local tourists in certain matters and "procuring" certain services.?

Hope some are stationed at the New Delhi train station next to the guys dressed as officials and telling people the foreigner's ticket office upstairs is closed!

Ya Agree with NIT,Only can say how far it good ,after sometimes.They all make big big announcement but still DELHI crime rates are high .
