Have a Great Stay Darmabum. Don't be afraid to give us a "Day in the Life of Varanasi Journal" or something since you'll be a towny for a while!

Hey, Scott, you made it! I have fond memories of an extended stay at Asi Ghat; I know you'll love it.
Hoping to be able to take you up on that offer of chai... |

Good to be home
So good to be back.
And yes, it has changed. It's been five years! Did, however, find my flute teacher . . . room at the Tiwari . . . nice big room, and yes, they are very friendly people. I would recommend the Tiwari to anyone. Prices from Rs 60 . . . an honest man, Raju. Aalso gives very good breaks for us long termers. Weather only now starting to warm up some. Just a glimpse of things to come. Nice high fluffy clouds in the east at sunset tonight. What an amazing thing to walk down the street . . . just smiling . . . Will try to work up some kind of Varanasi-log . . . but I'm here to write a book, actually finish one, one begun here six years ago. If I don't get the log going, you'll know where the words are. AFAI can tell he wrote this around 6:30 when the blasts/bombs went off. There's a good chance that he might've escaped if he hung around to check his mail/chat with some pretty babe or something like that.
