About Sikkim Darjeeling

Hi everyone
This is my first post to the forum.
I am not a traveler, rather I have a travel business. I know its not the forum to market my business and thats not my intention either, its just that something is bothering me and I would be very helpful if you travelers could give me some feedback.

Today we had a lone young female traveler who reached here after atleast 20 mails and 10 phone calls with us over the last two months. The last few comunications were mostly not about traveling, but on the question of whether it is safe for her to travel alone. It seemed that she was in doubt about our integrity too.

So my question is this. I know the kind of experience many of you have / had in Delhi or other metros. But what do you think about the smaller towns, specially the Darjeeling, Sikkim region. Has security been a concern for you? Have anyone ever been accosted around here or had any similar bad experience?
