A few logistics
A few logistics
Hi there.
Only 5 weeks to go and counting (although not actually booked any accom or transport quite yet!). I have a few questions, would appreciate any feedback:
1) Temperature - in Tamil Nadu and Kerala end December and through to mid-January - what are the night time temperatures and how hot does it get in a non-AC room (if window is kept closed)? I hate AC so would prefer to avoid it (plus it's cheaper). I can manage up to 27 degrees at a push to sleep in.
2) Footprint vs LP - I know this has been discussed many times, but Footprint is a more recent edition than LP. I used Footprint in S.America and LP in Oz, but I'm stuck now on what to get.
3) Charity - I'm arriving in Delhi and I'd quite like to take some kids clothes (any maybe adults) plus some toiletries to give to a charity. Someone told me that I could probably get a charity to send me a fax on headed paper saying that the suitcase was for them and then BA would let me fly it in for free (no excess). Has anyone else done this? Any charities that would be easy to contact and recommended, who would welcome second hand clothes?
4) Massage - what do you do with your money, camera, passport etc. if you go for a massage (and obviously get naked), do you leave it in the room where are having the massage and hope that no-one slips in and nicks it whilst you are drifting and relaxing?
that will do for now.
thanks muchly

Wow - you didn't much of a reply did you?
Can't help you with any info on suitcases for charitys etc. But can help you with what to do when you're having that much anticipated massage - I doubt that you will be 'getting naked' and if you do, I'd be a bit worried. You can always keep your bag close to you - underneath the bench/next to you on the ground etc. ANd keep your money belt/pouch/wallet with you under your pillow/towel or what ever. Never let anything/anyone come between you & your money belt!
