Having just returned from my first amazing trip to India I wanted to say thankyou to everyone on this forum for help and advice. I spent weeks on this site (couldn't leave it alone)and loved every minute. The information that I was able to find was so relevant and gave me much more of an understanding of what I might experience when I eventually got there and made the trip so much less scary.
Having said all that, my son tells me that he is going to Thailand to go diving this summer and if anyone knows of a similar site (not affiliated to hotels or tourism) I would be greatful

Hmm http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/ springs to mind but it's nowhere near as friendly or helpful as this place and I gather it has a bad reputation. There's some OK stuff out there though.

I've never found *any* online forum as friendly as this and I'm not kidding you either. Count your blessings.
