Kaushikda approximately how much will my itinerary cost me for taxi?? How much difference would it make if we come to Kargil by bus and from then on hire a taxi?

And does anyone have some more taxiwala's number?? Seeing the admiration Regzin has got from Kaushikda's travelogue it will be hard to have him free in mid-june. Since we're 6 of us, Qualis should be our best choice, right???

Saugata I had seen that Kargil's official site..but over there they are saying Greenland has 400 for EP double whereas Tripadvisor has a review of it having single for 1100something..!!!So asked

Well, don't rely on the prices, rather I would suggest to call them and try to negotiate on the price. Also, you can negotiate on the spot.

Sorry buddy, do not have idea for cheap stays at Kargil but I guess you can surely get one once you land there. For all the information on Manali - Leh Highway accommodation including Sarchu, check the link here on my blog. It is important to note that better bargain you will get at Sarchu if there is more daylight left. Just before the tented colonies start there is a rooms where dhabhas are there and is given on rent for about 125 per person, so check that if it is not already taken for the day. Chumathang will have very basic stays so will be cheap only, I will share the contacts once I will be back from the trip in April. I plan to stay at Chumathang only ot Korzok Homestay is any option is avaliable in April.

In September this year. Initially thought of August but will not be getting leaves in August
