Soooooooooperlike!!!
I was wondering do you (including Sagarneel) have any personal relationship with Kanchenjunga???? Because yearn to see her , cann't be the last word ...because ,I had wished to see her as much as you(Probably!!!).
Still she reveal herself only in front of her relatives only.
But, thank God she revealed herself completely , otherwise we might had missed such wonderful visual delight in Bipasha's log. I dont have too many adjectives in my limited stock of vocabulary , so saving it for other parts of the report. "If morning shows the day" - I am sure even Sagar would be short of adjectives within a few posts.

Next morning, it was time to say goodbye to Pelling and shift our base to Uttarey. I had earlier spoke to Mr Purna Subba, owner of Hotel Sawdens in Uttarey, where we booked two rooms well in advance. On our request, Subba ji arranged a car for us in a cheaper rate to reach Uttarey.
We started from Pelling at around 9.30 a.m. In our one &-half hour journey, we stopped at Changay (or Chengi) falls and Singshore Bridge.

Singshore Bridge

Reaching Subba ji’s home stay, we ordered for coffee. I must say, both the taste and quality was really good. After a little refreshment, we came out on road for a walk. Roaming around this small village-- its surrounding hills, its fresh air, large sized ferns hanging from hill walls, deep blue sky over our heads— was a fantastic experience altogether.
After returning to the hotel, we had lunch with various dishes including some delicious local vegetable preparations.
Soon after we finished our lunch, we noticed the sun was falling behind the distant hills quite fast. Shivering cold, brought by stormy wind, started freezing our movements. It was really biting cold.
When we reached hotel in the morning, we came to know that Subba ji was on his way back to Uttarey from Dehradun. We met him in the afternoon. He welcomed us with a cheerful and cordial smile. Later we experienced his outstanding hospitality.
In the evening, we enjoyed a bonfire just outside the hotel chit-chatting with Subba ji. As we decided to go to Manibus waterfalls next morning, we went to bed early.

Day 5 (December 29)
It was a sunny morning though biting of cold was not less. After having soupy noodles as breakfast followed by a brilliant cup of coffee, we headed to our destination with our guide Mangal. Mangal, a young local lad, has studied tourism management from a Salt Lake (Kolkata) institution.
We started for the trek at around 8.30am. En route to the falls, we visited a trout fish project, maintained by Fisheries Department of Sikkim government. Mangal was sharing various interesting information with us about the place and its surroundings.

We did not have any idea of the ‘path’ (that leads to the Manibus) that we were going to experience in the next few hours.
The whole path (in many places there was no ‘path’ as such) was through a beautiful river bed (including a bolder land), dense forest and a serene atmosphere. We crossed some small and beautiful villages. A few unknown birds were chirping, which added some soothing melody to our voyage. We found some snow on our way. A heavenly smell was coming from the forest but I didn’t find any flower there. My husband said that was the smell of Mother Nature. After walking for around two and -half hour, we finally reached our destination. This wonderful fall, hidden in the dense forest, cannot be seen until one crosses the last turn. Seeing that ‘master creation’ of nature, we felt our journey was worthy. It was a memorable experience indeed.
We started our return journey after spending half an hour on that dreamy land. We have reached Uttare at 2p.m.
While returning, Mangal was picking up all sorts of plastic materials thrown here and there by tourists like us and finally he dumped them into a waste basket at Uttarey Bazar. This excellent effort of the young chap to keep nature clean and green is really commendable.
Way to manibus

We had our lunch at around 3p.m. We then just enjoyed our evening in and around our hotel leisurely. Subba ji came to our room at around 8 in the evening. We had chat on various topics regarding Sikkim and Uttare. He also informed us that he had already arranged a car for our trip to Gangtok the next morning.

More about Uttarey
Uttarey valley is situated at an altitude of 6700 ft. It is a small village surrounded by wide range of mountains and lush green forests, and near to Indo-Nepal border named ‘Chewabhanjyang’. Various types of treks like Singalila Phoktey Dara Trek, Singalila Kachenjungha Dzongri Trek and Versey Rhododendron Sanctuary Trek through the majestic Himalayas begins from Uttarey. The Indian government has declared Uttarey as Wildlife Sanctuary. This place is mostly dominated by the Subbas. Apart from them Sherpa, Bhutia and other communities also live there. Every Friday, a small ‘haat’ (local market) takes place in Uttarey. Several Natural streams are flowing from the South direction towards North directions that is why this place is called Uttarey (Uttarey comes from the word ‘Uttar’ which means North).
