Varanasi - Bodhgaya connection?

Hi,
do anybody know if there is a direct bus connection between Varanasi and Bodhgaya and back or do I have to take the train to Gaya and then down.
I heard that there are busses going from Bodhgaya to Varanasi?? But maybe not in off season like end of August.

Any info will be helpfull, thanks.

I've never heard of one, but maybe the new LP India guide will have something; it's due out this month. (Called today; my bookstore doesn't yet have it).

... so, how did you get there? Or didn't you?

I hate travelling by bus in India, by the way; I don't feel that safe on those crazy roads.

no, I didn't get there, cause of getting close friend with my room's toilette , and also of resulting time loss.

so, I'll get to Varanasi and Bodhgaya again in dry season, the ghats were flooded too!

Travelling by bus is also not my thing, pretty exhausting. Better freezing in an a/c sleeper train
