Udaipur - Jodphur by bus
Hi community!
Any information about a way to reach Jodphur from Udaipur traveling during the night? Train is not possible, probably by bus?

There are direct buses from Udaipur to Jodhpur and i guess you can online book at www.redbus.in or at www.ticketvala.com
Train is not at all a good option or you can check flight on that route. In buses you can book sleeper coach so that you get a whole berth to sleep. Regards Rahul |

I do not know any night bus, But a Rajasthan Roadways bus starts at around 3 PM from Udaipur and reaches Jodhpur at 10 PM or so.

Ummm.... I'll say stay away from Private bus services...IMO, they are unreliable. Sometimes they take hours in collecting passengers....

Buses going overnight like this don't stop to pick up extra passengers so much - at least not out our way. Those extra passengers are village folk, and they don't travel through the night the way they do in the day and the buses get crowded. So travelling overnight like from Udaipur to Jodhpur by private bus should be fine.

I have heard there is a bus to Ranakpur, but I don't know re Kumbhalgarh, shs. You can visit Ranakpur, and apparently get another bus to Jodhpur.

Didn't do this by bus myself...
But I am sure there will be Rajasthan Roadways buses or private shared Jeeps, after all locals too travel. |
