Travel in rajasthan & Ranthambor
Can anyone advise us of how much an air con private taxi will cost per day, and does it usually include all fuel tax charges, cost of the driver to stay somewhere for the night, food etc, also is it a charge set by distance travelled or charged per day. Based out of Jaipur, any recommendations of pre booking, or arranging once out there. We are plannig a whistle stop tour of Rajasthan. Starting in Udaipur, we will stay one night, then plan to either fly or drive to Jaipur (any recommendation if driving is a viable option) After staying in Jaipur, we want to get a private car with driver to take us to Ranthembor, for 1 nights, then from there go to Agra stopping off at Fatehpur Sikri, stay one night in Agra, then drive on to Delhi. Also we will be driving around in Delhi for a day or so, will it be cheaper to get another private taxi there, anyone advise what the daily rate is for a private taxi in Delhi?

Car + driver
We have made a trip through Rajasthan for 12 days with private driver. The price included all fuel tax charges, and we did not have to pay for the driver's costs of food and places to stay. Often they stay in the same hotel where they share a room with other drivers. We started our tour from Delhi, to Bikaner, Jasailmer, Jodhpur, Ranakpur, Udaipur, Pushkar, Jaipur, Agra, and back to Delhi. We made a stop in Pushkar between Udaipur and Jaipur, as it is quite a long journey (around 10 hours). But I found it better to travel by car than plane, as you get the chance to see so much more of the country. We booked the trip through our hotel, which costed us € 350,-. But if you contact our driver directly you will get a better price. He is a really nice man, we were really happy to have him as a driver. He starts his tours from Jaipur and Delhi. His name is Jagdish. You can send him an email: jagdishponkh2003@yahoo.co.in or give him a call: 9828024504 (you will have to add the India land code). I promise you will have a wonderful trip if you let him drive you around. Have fun!
