Taxi from Chennai to Mamallapuram
Anyone rough idea of fare from Chennai airport to Mamallapuram and is there taxi desk in airport or just join queue outside. Trying to arrange guesthouse to pick me up but just making contingency plan in case get let down.

don't know about from airport, by from Mylapore area in Chennai the cost can run from 1300-2000 rupees. I should add that this cost is for a car that we hired, not a taxi from a stand.

chennai-mamallapuram
Its prity much the same as delhi, use the taxi keosk at the air port, before venturing out side, i didnt last year and it cost me 700 r/s, a lesson well learnt, think it should be around 500 r/s. there are toll roads, so try to make sure you get them to include it in the price.
