Self Drive rentals in Delhi and approx costs
I and the lady are planning to take a week long trip with a flexible itinerary in Himachal
The rough idea being to land in Delhi in the 1st or 2nd week of June on a Saturday, rent out a car on Sunday, drive down to Chail/Mashorba/somewhere on NH22 (IIRC) then head towards the Manali side from there The idea is to have an undefined itinerary and take things as they come I have driven around extensively in Himachal back when I used to live in Delhi so I know what road conditions to expect Question is where can I find reasonably priced car rentals in Delhi I know Hertz does, but heir rates are rather obscene at around 3000/- per day for a weekly rental plan for a Hyundai Santro (I got a 21.6K + taxes quote from them) I know of local rental agencies in Chennai that rent out Santros for less than half that rate so I am sure Delhi too should have similar options... Any pointers? |

There's a lot of information pertaining to this topic on the board so just look around. I think i recall reading a post which put the rental price, not including petrol, at about 800 a day or so...ill see if i can find it.

wow..that was quick
Called up the eco rent a car guys and they say they can rent out onlya corolla or an Innova The rate I got was 3.5 K a day for a corolla. The other thread has this linkie: http://www.autoriders.net/selfdrive.html#rates Let me try calling them too... |
