Hi Pkalra,
Price is OK. Normally the total cost for an average 200/250 km per day is between 1500 and 1700 IR depending if Non AC or AC car. So, your quotation is similar. |

what happens if you don't cover any km in a day because you are spending a few days exploring one place? The quote I've got seems to cost 1800 rs per day regardless of the km covered.

Normally, the owner of the car quotes you a total price and that's all.
Everybody knows the roads in India, an average of 250 km per day is more than ennough. As an exemple.: Next 28th Nov a car with driver will be waiting for me in B'lore airport ( he comes from Chennai), then we are moving to Somnatphur, Mysore..., I'll finish the journey staying 4 days in Palolem, with a total of 16 days, always with the car. I haven't calculate how many kilometers i'll do, but I'm sure, less than 16 x 250. Then the car must go back from Panaji airport to Chennai. In the price the company has quoted to me, everything has been added and finally the price is always around 1600/1700 Rs per day. AC car. |

Driver with car in Cochin (how much)
How much would a driver with car be in Cochin? We would probably need him for 6-7 days. Should be familiar with tourist sites. Coming soon - would appreciate any info.

divadino :
Some travelagent ask perday irrespective of km you travel. Personally I wont Suggest this is good,But for long distance you cant help it . They will ask per day only. |
