Pushkar: avoid Bhagwati bike rental
Hi everybody,
this is to share the worst bike rental experience I've had in India and across the world -- this is at Bhagwati bike rental in Pushkar, near the Sikh temple (they have two shops one near each other).
I rented for 5 days a small scooter, and the owner of the shop told me "if you get flat tyre it is your problem", then left for 10 minutes with the bike before giving it to me. I realized after half an hour, what it was about, as the tyre actually got flat 500 meters after the shop, just in front of a tyre shop where the owner had clearly gone to inflate the tyre. Still trusting his good faith, I got into the shop, and wanted to repair the tyre but realized that it had been already repaired 12 times, and after contacting the owner of the shop he refused to pay for the new tyre. After that, I took the bike back because I discovered it was really not working, and at the shop I found 4 other customers who had been tricked in the same way. When asked for my money back I was threatened phisically, and when came back with the police the owner of the shop laughed at my face, evidently being very good friends with the police, who staied there for 10 minutes and then left without giving an explanation. So, please if you are in Pushkar avoid at all costs Bhagwati bike rental -- besides from the aggresiveness and physical threats, the motorbikes are actually very dangerous, as they are all in very bad shape.
