Please help me! Bus w/driver Info Needed!
Hi everyone!
These forums have been invaluable to me. Thanks everyone for your kind wisdom! So, there are 9 of us total traveling from Delhi throughout Uttar Pradesh, 17 February - March 2, 2007. We are practicing Buddhists and are making a spiritual journey (Dharm Yatra) of several Buddhist historical sights. The trip will cover many places in only about two weeks' time. We do not need a tour guide! Just a vehicle that holds 9 people total (with luggage) and a vehicle to carry us in. From what I've read on these threads, seems the Tempo Traveler is the right sized vehicle for us. Can ANYONE out there point in in the direction of where to hire such a vehicle? The train is not a good option: too many people to keep track of and too many places to travel in too short a time. Obviously, we aren't wealthy and we'd like to find a reliable driver. Any suggestions? Thanks all. Heavy Metta!! |

Hi,
Firstly welcome to India, Tempo Traveller is a gud vehicle. Look at the vehicle below. And check whether it suits your requirement or not. http://www.keralacars.com/tempotraveller.htm http://www.carrentals.theindiancente...les/tempo.html Make sure that the vehicle has a National Permit, and it has a Taxi Number (Meaning it should't be a private vehicle). Just do i quick search for this vehicle in google you will get pleanty of options, get in touch with atleast 3-4 guys and do negotiate.. And then let us know what are they asking for we will let you know.. If if that whould really cost that much and how gud it would be.. |

Hi again! I'm sorry it took so long to respond to this (not my fault!) But I sent out 5 inquiries last week and got two back so far: FIRST WAS FROM: India Calling Tours Pvt. Ltd. 3 Commercial Complex, Hanuman Road, Connaught Place New Delhi 110 001 INDIA 9 people, 12 days, all taxes, allowances, etc., included:US$ 1570 The next was from Namasteindia Tours, which I've seen mentioned quite a bit on Indiamike. They quoted me cost rs. 56,800 which is about $1,283.00 USD (includes fel ,parking, toll, border texes ,insurance driver food and accomadation ) Obviously, Namasteindia has the better price, but do you think this is reasonable regardless? FOUR WEEKS AND 11 DAYS UNTIL I LEAVE!! Woo-hoo! Thanks so much for your help!!! ![]() |
