Hello,

I Am Aware Of The Kangra Valley Train That Takes Me From Pathankot To Kangra But Is There Also A Bus That Goes From Pathankot Direct To Dharamsala And If There Is, How Often Does It Run During The Day And How Long Does It Take To Get To Dharamsala? Also How Often Does The Bus Run From Kangra To Dharamsala During The Day Or Night? I Would Imagine The Train Would Be More Scenic As Well So Any Information Would Be Appreciated.

Thank You

The train is brilliant. Sit on the left. Go first class. Take some snacks with you.

Sorry - no info on the buses, though there will be one from Pathankot to Dharamsala for sure.

pathankot-->dharamsala

i took the bus from pathankot to dharamsala. it's not bad...the view is GORGEOUS as you approach the mountains.
i seem to recall that the last bus leaves around 6pm...but that's just my memory...which isn't perfect.

i understand that there is a train but it is a very slow moving train. my bus traveled alongside the tracks for part of the way and we really flew by the train. so for efficiency, i recommend the bus.

when you arrive to dharamsala, there will be around 20 taxis waiting for the bus. when they see that you're a foreigner they will mob you and offer you a ride to mcloed for about 4x what you really should pay.
