Ooty to Bangalore Airport - Bus or Taxi?

We are spending some time in the south in April to visit our daughter who is working for a time in Madurai. We are using trains with Indrail passes to get around mostly, and finishing up with a couple of days in Ooty. It looks a fairly convoluted trip to get from Ooty to Bangalore during the day by train (if its possible at all), so I thought about going by Bus. However, I haven't been able to find an on-line bus timetable, and the KSRTC site suggests its buses on that route are not A/C. Some of the other posts I've seen say that even the Super/Deluxe private buses turn out to be cramped minibuses - which wouldn't suit us - we're both getting on a bit and I can't cope with restricted legroom (though I have managed 6 hours in an ordinary Cambodian bus!).

I've seen someone suggesting that we might be able to get a car and driver to take us for that sort of distance for about 3000 rupees - is that possible and would the car be A/C at that price? If it is a practical alternative (which would also save us having to get a taxi from Bangalore out to the airport) can anyone suggest a reliable driver in Ooty?

hello , from ooty to bangalore there are no ac buses...you can find ksrtc rajahamsa buses with pushback seats. they are the maximum luxury buses you can find from ooty. the drive from ooty to mysore is scenic.

and reagrding taxi an ac taxi would cost you around 4000 depending upon the vehicle you take
