Mumbai to Goa on bike via the Coastal Konkan Route

My wife and I are planning a tour of Konkan on 30th October 2009 on our bullet. The idea of the trip is to travel from Mumbai to Goa via the route closest to the sea (without taking the highway NH 17) and enjoying all the places along the way. It’s not a hardcore biking trip….we will be reaching Goa in 6 days, an average of 100 kms per day (I know it’s too less). The point is we want to enjoy places like Murud, Harihareshwar, Tarkarli, Ganapatipule, Devdag, Sindhudurg, Vijaydurg, Malwan along the way, as well as enjoy the local food. The detailed route is given below:
1. Bhaucha Dhakka (Mumbai) to Rewas by boat.
Rewas – Alibaug – Revdanda – Kashid – Murud
2. Murud – Rajpuri – Agardanda – Mandad – Pabhare - Mhasala – Shrivardhan – Harihareshwar – Bagamandla – Ferry to Bankot (Veshwi Jetty) – Kelashi – Anjarla – Harnai
OR
Murud – Rajpuri – Ferry to Dighi – Diveagar – Shrivardhan – Harihareshwar – Bagamandla – Ferry to Bankot (Veshwi Jetty) – Kelashi – Anjarla – Harnai
3. Harnai – Dapoli – Ladghar – Burondi – Kolthar – Dabhol – Ferry to Dhopave / Anjanvel – Guhagar – Velneshwar – Hedavi – Tavsal – Sandelavagan – Kharviwada – Ganapatipule
OR
Harnai – Dapoli – Ladghar – Burondi – Kolthar – Dabhol – Ferry to Dhopave / Anjanvel – Guhagar – Velneshwar – Hedavi – Tavsal – Ferry to Jaigadh – Kharviwada – Ganapatipule
4. Ganapatipule – Ratnagiri – Bhatye Beach – Pavas – Purnagad - Bhandarwadi – Kalakawadi – Right at Ambelkarwadi/Mogare Junction – Bharadin – Nate – Bridge or Ferry to Jaitapur – Amberli Bridge (mostly Rajapur – Devgad link bridge) – Padel Titha – Wade - Jamsande – Devgad – Jamsande – Dabhole – Kunkeshwar (Road between Nate to Padel Titha is confusing)
5. Kunkeshwar – Dahibaon – Naringre – Varachichawadi – Wayangani – Hadi - Gaonkarwada, Revandi – Malvan – Wayari - Tarkarli
6. Tarkarli – Gavan – Ravadas – Mhapan – Dabholi – Vengurla – Arawali - Mhartale, Tirakol/Terekhol - ferry to Keri - Arambol – Mandrem – Agarvado – Siolim- Calangute/Bagah

I have also plans to do a motorbike trip along coastal lines of Konkan starting from Mumbai/Thane.
Plan is to cover most of the Sea/Coastal Forts..

There is a road from Kunkeshwar - Mithbav - Aachra - Malvan which is a short cut. While in Mithbav you can check the Gajbadevi Beach and Tambaldeg Beach.

Just after you cross Mithbav there is a bridge which connects Mithbav to Hindale.

I was shocked when reading the description of your trip plan......
Its xactly what i have been planning for last 3 months........
And i have the entire route map from google maps in hard copy.......
Ditto same route.......with idea of doing the trip aram se.......

I just hope that you are still to go on the trip.........in case you already have done it, i would need your suggestions on few things.....
