mumbai airport-bus-palolem

Hello lovely people.

Ok just a quickie.

Im arriving in mumbai fri 3rd at hopefully 17.40pm

Ive booked the kolkan express for that night(from dadar) to get to goa,2nd class sleeper.Was a 197 waiting list so its touch and go whether I actually get on that train.

Anyways,I dont fancy hanging around in mumbai( its my third time in india,so im pretty clued up) and was wondering what the best plan of action would be if i dont make the train?

Is there a bus station near the airport where i could maybe jump on one down there?
Would i be better just heading the sally army place and going off and booking a bus for the next night?
And im undecided between a cheap arse numbing,sardine local bus or a comfy one this time.

I would suggest you to check this website for quickly booking your bus to Goa..http://www.redbus.in/?&gclid=CMqE4JXcvaUCFYQc6wod82KMZA ..so if u have a debit or credit card.that wd do the trick for you..i guess u can board the bus from dadar too... between where in goa do you intend to hangout?

Hi Blokey,I think it must be the konkan kanya which starts around 2300 Hrs. In Indian railways it is usually around four hours before departure that they prepare the seat charts and you could now the final status of your reservation. There is a tourist bureau at CST Rly Stn which is open till 2000 Hrs. Maybe they could Help.You could book bus tickets from Mumbai Airport,there is Akbar Travels Counter near arrival exit.Outside dadar and CST/ VT Stn lots of Travel agents and Buses are available.

Im still about 180 on the waiting list,so the train dos'nt look promising.

Ive noticed neeta travels leave from ville parle east at 9.15pm that night.(anyone know this area?)
Im hovering about booking on the bus,however Im still in england at the minute.

If i do book,I expect i can print out the e-ticket and that should suffice?( sorry to ask,but it is India afterall,anythings possible)

Oh and rickshaw/taxi price to ville parle east? (100rs?)
