Motorcycle Help
Hey,
Currently in Hyderabad, and it's about time I get around to finding some better transportation. I know the dangers of a foreigner attempting Indian roads, but I'm ready to start. Anyways, I need a motorcycle before anything else. I'm sure this question has been asked on IM before, but here goes. I need a cheap used motorcycle, nothing fancy, as in a few months I can get a better one if necessary. For now though I don't want to spend more than Rs. 35,000 - 40,000. I'm trying to narrow down the multiples makes and models of bikes here, and I'm really unsure of what to get. I just want something like a Yamaha RX100 or maybe an Enfield, but I really want to make sure the bike I buy is reliable and won't break down within a month. Also, where in the city would be a good place to look for used bikes? So far I've only looked on sulekha.com to get an idea on prices. Any advice is greatly appreciated, I'm not in a big rush to find anything.

You can't get a new bike in that budget. If you are looking to buy a used bike try asking around Ramkote area. I hear that's the best area to look for used bikes as there are many dealers, but don't know exactly where in Ramkote.

If you are planning to do long trips on your bike then i will suggest you not to go for RX100 as it is not at all a touring bike,
in your budget you should try for either avenger or karizma. both bikes are very good for long drives. Mumbai and pune are the best places to get these bikes at a reasonable rate. |
