Hello,
I am buying an Enfield in Mubai in December for a 2 month trip. From Mubai I will head - via Agra and Rajasthan - to Mumbai. I should be used to the bike by then. In Mumbai I will pick up a friend and we will go down towards Goa and Kerala. From this forum I've learned where I can buy a bike :-) But what about motorbike clothes? 1) What clothes would I need in the area I will be traveling (i.e. how cold is it?) - I've seen the various weather stats. But when I look at motorbike images from the web I see people really heavily dressed... 2) Can/should I buy clothes and helmet in Mumbai? - I expect the various motorbike dealers to be able supply this, but I have no information. Other than this, I think I'm set for an excellent journey. Cheers, Bjorn |

The weather at Goa and Kerela would be good. A wind cheater should be enough. Quote:
Yes, you can definitely buy all the stuff from Mumbai. |

Hi Bjorn,
During december, wheather is going to be cold in Agra and Rajasthan, especially in mornings and evenings. during the day, its not that cold. As you'll move towards Mumbai and beyond, its not going to be cold. But for the first part of your journey you need to have: 1. Thermals 2. Woolen socks with spares 3. Good air-proof Jacket avoid leather / windcheater 4. Sweater 5. Balaclava / Monkey cap 6. Riding gloves 7. Woolen gloves 8. Muffler Thats about it. Have a great ride. |

Hi Niaz
U mean to say from delhi you will head to Mumbai via agra and rajasthan. If you are planning to ride this area in December or January, you better be prepared for chilly mornings and evenings. Clothes I mentioned in my earlier post will suffice, just add good boots and knee pads. During the daytime, you might not need to dress heavily. As you will go south towards Goa and Kerala, weather is going to be moderate and you won't need heavy woolen there. Happy & safe riding ![]() |
