lowest time to travel from Kolkata to Shimla

Hi,
I will Visit shimla from kolkata, I am confused that which path is take short time it it Kolkata to Deldi by train , and then delhi to Shimla by bus, or Kolkata to chadigargh by train and Chandigargh to Shimla by bus. pls help ,if possible pls tel me which one is cheapest.

I dont know how long the trains take but

Delhi - Shimla ,You are looking at about 10-11 hours traveling.

Chandigarh - Shimla , will be about 4 hours.

Just add the train timings to this and u'll know which is the fastest.

Kolkata- Delhi rajdhani is way faster, but otherwise the Howrah-Kalka mail is a popular choice to goto Shimla. It reaches Kalka in the early morning and you can be in Shimla by 8-9 am
