Interstate/Intercity Buses
Hello,
We are planning to visit Kumbakonam, Coimbatore and Ernakulam in July. I have been trying to find the best and fastest way to get to these places. Can we travel by bus?. I have heard that Coimbatore to Ernakulam is only a 2hr bus ride away?. Is it so?. Are there websites of these buses which we could look up on for timetables?. Many thanks. |

Welcome to IM
 .From Kumbakonam, you could board the Jan Shatabdi express(T.No:2083) to reach coimbatore JN and it is 331 kms , 6 1/2 hours journey and that's the fastest way by bus it will take aleast 8 hours . And For Coimbatore -Ernakulam there are many trains a day (200 Kms, 4 Hours+ by superfast train! FYI, All trains Starting with a "2" are Superfast ! Please try out www.indianrail.gov.in.
