There are no shops like "classic scooter sales", and although classic 50's / 60's style lambrettas are around ,they are a bit thin on the ground-- and everyone knows their value, pretty much. Full resto's go for the same, sort of money as the UK, but the quality of the work is well below anything coming out of a western bike resto shop. Best bet is to visit India a few times, and then a few times more, and buy old ones that need lots of work, ship them home and restore them there, i don't think there would be indian export tax, the problem would be at your end, does the UK have an import tax? Finding that black shadow covered in dust at the back of a chi shop, is more than ever these days nothing more than a myth-----happy scooter hunting princess
