I´m surching for a posibility for horse riding in Delhi and around.
I like horse riding and did it very often in Europe. There it´s very easy to find a farm and get a horse for weekly riding. Also riding lessons are available. If anybody knows a posibility in Delhi or Faridabad, please give me reply. I am surching a posibility to ride on a horse in a groupe or with a trainer trough the wonderful countryside. Or a weekend trip on a horse will be nice. Please reply and give me some tips. - Thanks ![]()

I too like horse riding but unfortunately my only experience in India was on a seriously under-nourished horse that I had to dismount after a few seconds as I could see it was in pain, and then walk it back to its 'owner'
It would be nice to find some well looked after horses and ride through some nice countryside whether this exists or not I have my doubts? ursustricyrtis, hope you won't be taking your cat along? Howie |

One time I was riding a horse. This horse was specially for weddings, and not really trained in riding with rider. Normally the owner or a small indian boy guides the horse and this only for some festival reasons. But some people told me, but they can´t give me a adress or contact number, there exists some clubs for horse riding.
I´m still waiting for reply of anybody how can me give some advice what to do to fulfil my dream of riding a horse in the beautiful countryside of india. |

There's a stud farm quite close to where I live in Gurgaon. They breed some of the finest racing horses in the country with quite a few derbies to their credit. I'm sure I've seen some local ads that they provide training as well although I can't find anything on that on their website.
Also, it's not in a pleasent countryside that you're seeking. Gurgaon is a suburb close to Delhi International airport. But if they're agreeable, you might be able to make arrangements to ride a horse in rural Gurgaon not far from here. Good luck. |
