hiring motorbikes (again)
I'm planning on going to Tamil Nadu and hiring motorbikes for about 2 weeks to do a trip around through bangalore, pondecheri etc. Does anyone know the best way to hire bikes, is it OK just to turn up and find some or do they have to be prebooked, but the only places we can contact are larger companies which may be more expensive? do you know where is the best place in that area. Alternatively is it a good idea to buy bikes and just sell them on? We've got full UK motorcycle licences, will that allow us to ride in India?
Any advice? |

Technically you need an international drivers license. Somebody said that AA in the UK was no longer doing this. But, check it out. Insurance is another issue as well as maybe life insurance (may I be a beneficiary?)..
