| From Varanasi to Kathmandu to Kashmir Hi, We are three people from South Africa wanting to do the India trip. This will be over a three week period in the December 2008 to January 2009 period. The towns we have to visir are: Varanasi, Sarnath, Kushinagar, Lumbini, Kathmnadu and then to Kashimir. We think that the mode of transport will be a mixture of train and jeep. We are concerned about the weather as we don't know how severe it will be. Has anybody done this route before. Any advice will be gratefully accepted.... Thank you... |

| where in kashmir? I guess you have to fly to delhi from kathmandu and then go to kashmir (whether srinagar or ladhakh) |

| Christine: Thanks for the response. Can you give some idea of the weather conditions from Varanasi to Kathmandu in December/January period. How can I get more info about transport (train and/or jeep) from Varanasi to Kushinagar to Lumbini to Kathmandu). I think that we have start booking now. Anxiously awaiting your response..... |
