For example from rishikesh to kasol or nainital to McLeod ganj

I am trying to avoid the state buses as the smell of diesel gives me bad nausea. I am okay with trains, volvos and taxis if they are cheap.

Thanks in advance

For Kasol the nearest rail station would be Chandigarh, for Nainital Haldwani or Kathgodam, for Mcleodganj Pathankot.

I hope you understand that Volvos are AC buses and they would not be cheap. Also they would be available from major cities only.

Share taxis / jeeps could be an option however be prepared to wait till the taxi / jeep is full before it departs. In most cases they would be over capacity (6-7 people in a 5 seater).
