Driving without an RC across States?
I'm borrowing a friend's bike whose RC is missing (he lost it) and is trying to get a new made he however has a copy of the FIR which the police has registered.
Is it Ok to ride this bike using that FIR as a replacement for that RC in case asked. I have a driving license from India so I'm hoping it should help too (I'm not very sure of ways of the road though - I mean if I have to bribe someone it gives me jitters first)
In addition to this - I'm going to have the insurance papers and the pollution certificate.
Thoughts??

keep a 50 in your passport at all crossings...works wonders!
All I had to do was to look into the toolbox and I was able to locate the RC
so it's all cool now
