Hi,

So I'm going to fly into Delhi this Thursday morning and need to get to Sirsa as I am working on a farm there. Anyone know the timetable? I have tried looking, all I could find out is that it is roughly 5hrs on the bus, and I have to get from Delhi Airport to the Delhi ISBT. The Delhi Airport website said there is a shuttle from the airport to the ISBT, anyone have experience with this? Should I take a taxi instead? Also, has anyone taken this route via bus before? Finally, is there a certain money exchange desk in the airport I should use and can I get a cheap SIM card in the airport to call from India to the US/UK for cheap?

Sorry for all the questions, but thought I should ask.

THANKS!
Ben

I can answer one of your questions - yes, there is somewhere to exchange money at the airport - a couple of banks are there.

Yes ! for going to Sirsa, you'll have to take Haryana Roadways bus from ISBT, buses leave every 30 minutes.

It'll be better to hire a taxi and reach ISBT.

^ That's great, every 30min, then I can go to the tailor located at 47-A, Rear Side , Khan Market, New Delhi - 11000, how long would it take to get there from the airport, and from there to the ISBT? Sorry for all this, but now that I know the buses are so frequent, I don't mind stopping by the tailor, as I need a suit made for my wedding in August.

If I am not late no need to go to ISBT in the same time you can reach Najafgarh>Bahadurgarh (by taxi) and from there> Rohtak>Sirsa. You can cut your travel time by 2 hours at least. Buses for Hisar and Sirsa will not be problem as Bahadurgarh is on Delhi Rohtak Highway.

Yes ! but from ISBT you assured of a seat, while at Bahadurgarh, there may be no vacancy in buses.

^ Thanks, I may still go with ISBT to have a seat, we'll see. Does anyone know the answer to the other Q, how much money and time it will take to get to the Tailor I mentioned from the airport and then from the tailors to the ISBT?

Thanks!
Ben

From Airport to Khan Market a taxi will take 25-30 minutes. The total travelling, Airport - Khan Mkt - ISBT It is around 30 KMs, so the taxi fare should be Rs 450/- (in Radio Cab).
