delhi to agra by car

Hi all.

Will be traveling to Delhi in November but will only be there for a couple of days before heading off. Would love to be able to go to The Taj by car and return the same day, but am struggling to find a car and driver in my budget. So far the two internet enquiries I have made have come back with prices of £80 and above- is that around the standard rate or should I look harder? Any suggestion would be greatly received. Oh by the way there are two of us and this will be our first time in india and we are a little nervous.

Which is the car that they are offering ? Much will depend on that. And is it all inclusive ?

Both quotes were all inclusive using indigo's- I don't know what this car is.... is the type of car important- excuse my ignorance of indian cars!

Indigo is a Sedan, you may see a picture here.

The Run will be around 550 KMs. so even at Rs. 8 per KM it should be Rs. 4400 or £60. At Rs. 10 per KM you can have a more comfy Innova.

So you should bargain....

Namaste were the highest price yet- Would you recommend a long distance haggle or wait and do it locally?

As you said you'll be in Delhi for some days prior to your Taj visit, you can book it here also.. No need to pre-book so much in advance.....
