Hi ,

I am reaching Delhi IGI Domestic T1C terminal at 11:55 AM and need to reach chandigarh from there. I have heard about volvo buses operating from T3 terminal / Hotel Centaur. Can someone let me know about the inter terminus transfer between T1C and T3/ Hotel Centaur.

If I do go ahead and book the bus tickets online and If for some unforeseen reasons , my flight gets delayed and I miss my bus , will I be accommodated in the next bus or will I be asked to purchase separate tickets ?

How much does a taxi charge for just a drop to chandigarh from the Delhi Airport ? Any trustworthy taxi service that I can go to as I have my family travelling along with me.

Any help would be deeply appreciated

Thanks & Regards
~rocky

There is no need of doing advance booking as you will find plenty of space on the bus.

You will find options for the inter terminal transfer there. There is another option of reaching Kashmere Gate ISBT to take other buses.

How many in your party? An ordinary taxi may not be big enough.

Option 2, train from NDLS 3.5 hours -

Option 3, bus, 4.5 hours -

Option 4, car 4.5 hours -

Train is best option. Buses are also good, But you have to find out if you get Volvo bus from Delhi Airport/Hotel http://airportchandigarh.com/transpo...-bus-schedules

Or you can go to Bus stand and Buses ply to Chandigarh frequently.
Best Regards,

Finally , this is how I managed

Once you exit from T1C (Palam) Domestic terminal and walk towards your right , you will see an over head bridge . The inter terminal shuttle ( a RED color bus) picks up the passengers from there. You are supposed to get a FREE ticket to travel on that shuttle. I was not aware of this and had to pay Rs 25/- per head for the commute.

This shuttle takes you to T3 and will drop you at the entrance. If you walk straight down along the road , where the shuttle drops you , you will be able to see a bay for buses. I boarded a Haryana road transport A/C Volvo bus from there to Chandigarh and it costed me Rs 620/- per head.

I did not notice the Indo Canadian office ( must have missed it ! ) at the T3 airport , but am sure there are services plying from airport.

Thought of sharing this so that it might be of help to people who are planning to travel on the same road
