Costs of renting an Innova/similar from Jaipur to Jaisalmer (round-trip)
We are looking at renting a Toyota Innova (or a similar vehicle) with AC for a trip from Jaipur-Jodhphur-Jaisalmer-Jaipur. The trip will last a total of 6-7 days.
Distance between Jaipur to Jaisalmer seems to be about 600 kms. Since we will be stopping in Jodhpur, I'm guessing that the distance round-trip will not exceed about 1500 kms.
How much should I expect to pay (including all taxes, fees, driver-supplement, fuel-costs, etc, etc)?
Thanks in advance for the responses.

About 16500/17000 would be a good price, all inclusive, except what you may want to tip the driver.
Thanks a lot for your response -- it's helpful.
Just curious -- how is the price calculated for such long trips? I assume that it'd be a combination of distance and the number of days? I read a few other posts that said the price per km is Rs. 7, but didn't find any info on the price/km/day.
Also, what's the recommended tip-amount for the driver on long journeys?

Normally it works like this for outstation trips..
You pay a per km rate.. say 5.50 for a non ac indica, 6.50 for ac, 11 for innova etc
You pay for a minimum of 200 km a day on any car. So 2200 a day for innova. The 200 is cumulative, so if you hire for a week, you will pay (2200*7) rupees and you will be entitled to (200*7) km over the week, you don't have to do 200 km daily.
This charge, if it is a good deal, will be all inclusive of tolls, taxes etc. It is customary to tip the driver at the end of it (say, 100 a day). If you really like the guy you can give him 30/50 rupees for his meals whenever you stop for lunch or dinner. These are 'tips' and not part of the deal.
