Chennai to Mamallapuram

Hi everyone,

One quick question, what are the bus connections like between chennai and mamallapuram and how much would this sort of journey cost?

In Day time [Read 06:00 am to 8 :00 pm], Bus frequency is 45 Minutes to 1 Hour once. Bus Fare will be around 18 Rs !.

@RRR,

Between 08:00 - 10:00 Hrs and 17:00 - 20:00 Hrs of a day it may take a bit longer due to the Traffic. Yes, Wabat is right.. It will take around 1 1/2 hours !

From Koyambedu/T Nagar with stops at major stages. For newcomers it is better to board at Koyambedu/T Nagar and AC Buses with a reasonable charge run on this route!

thanks, I know the T Nagar busstand, last time I have taken a bus to Kanchi from there.

I guess the buses run very often, right ?

By what I have been able to gauge; every 1.5-2 hours!

These are different from the TTDC tours!

Just some 4-5 days ago went to Mahabalipuram with my uncle on bike, and we saw many buses seems buses are frequent from major bus stands like KOyambedu, broadway, tambaram, CMBT, etc, and they stop at every stop en route. so no need to worry, if you have bike you can drive in one hour or so, ;-)
