Change of bus terminal at Delhi for some buses

With effect from 1st Aug 2011 until further notice, all north-bound buses which were being operated till date to/from Kashmere Gate ISBT by Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) and UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), will run to/from Anand Vihar ISBT. This is due to renovation work at Kashmere Gate.

This affects e.g. all buses from/to Dehradun, Saharanpur, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Kotdwara, Garhwal, etc.
The daily Volvo bus Delhi-Dehradun v.v. being operated on behalf of UTC will also run from/to Anand Vihar, however it can be booked from both Kashmere Gate and Anand Vihar.

Any update on the present status? Tried contacting the numbers provided, but no one picked up the phone! I am asking about the Delhi-Haridwar buses (although an info on the Delhi-Guptkashi bus would be wonderful)!

Haven't heard of services restarting from K Gate, but you could try calling there too.

Just called K-Gate ISBT. They confirmed that all UK bound buses are running from Anand Vihar ISBT, and not K-Gate. The Guptkashi bound bus leaves Anand Vihar at 9 p.m and no prior booking is possible. One has to reach early to get a reservation.

Buses to UP and Uttarakahnd had been running from Anand Vihar ISBT for quite some time. Beware of touts luring travellers with luxury bus options just accross the border.

Also beware of the UP Roadways guy booking the tickets at the Counter .This November we were going to Badrinath and we took 2 tickets for Haridwar in their AC bus and he took Rs.350/- from us .We travel frequently to Uttrakhand so I enquired about the increased price so he said there has been an increase .... Later we noticed that our ticket said 280 something and the print on the ticket was very light .when we asked other people they all had also been duped .... Hastily he refunded all the tickets and they said the bus is not going .... We had to wait for 2 hours and then we took the 11 p.m Volvo !!!!

a Minor addition: RSRTC Volvo, Aircon Delux (gold-line) and 2x2 non-Aircon Delux (star line) buses all run from Bikaner House, Pandara Road (on the C-hexagon of India gate). This is valid for all ex-delhi buses of the above categories for the state of Rajasthan (not just Jaipur bound buses). It's a very busy heritage property I can tell you.

Only RSRTC express buses (3x2 , non aircon) run from Sarai Kale Khan (and the express buses running for Jaipur from Kashmere gate have been moved here as well).

Yes, I've seen some of those buses parked at Bikaner House. My info was in the context of services shifted from K Gate, that's all.
