| Car and Driver Hi, Does anyone have information or advice on hiring a car and driver in India? I've got just over a week to get from Dehli to Mumbai, and would like to stop and see things on my way. I've plotted some routes out on the train, but its been brought to my attention that it might be more effecient to have a driver. How much does this cost? Is it hard to arrange? Is this something that is reccommended? Thanks a lot! |

| Hi, You mean to say that you are going to travel from Delhi to Mumbai on a car ? And that too with a driver ? As an Indian living in India, I won't do that for sure. Use a train - is my advice and if you are really interested in seeing a lot of places near Delhi, you can always go to Agra, Jaipur, and a couple of places that are near to Delhi. You will get plenty of Tour Operators who can help you and the State Government buses can take you for tours. However, if you have arrangements with a good and reliable Delhi Hotel that can provide you a car and a driver from Delhi it might be more safe. But, this will cost a lot !!!

from delhi, however, you should be able to hire a car and driver from places like jaipur house for a state run operation, or from reputable taxi services--these will take you to rajasthan, agra, fatehpur sikri. | |
