Bus Schedule from Bikaner to Jaisalmer

My friends and I are arriving at Bikaner around 8:00am in the morning. We're going to go check out Karni Mata Temple for a few hours and make our way to Jaisalmer. There is only one overnight train to Jaisalmer at 11:25pm. Where can we look up bus schedule from Bikaner to Jaisalmer?

Most likely...we have to hire a guide/taxi.... has anyone taking this route before? I'm sure the Bikaner's tourism office can get help us out too....

Probably there are two buses in the night , one at 22.00 hrs. and another at 22.30 hrs. In the morning one bus at 5.30 hrs. Approx. journey time is 6 hrs.So far my memory is concerned buses are runned by B.K. Travels.Approx. fare is Rs.150/=. These buses have both options sleeper and sitting.

Govt. buses are available but they are not good enough. B.K. Travels, whose address is Shop No.2, Old Bus Stand, Bikaner and phone # 01512209895.

It's so weird why there is only the option to go really early or really late..... I guess the best option for us is hire a driver. It will be an adventure if the Guide takes us to different towns/villages along the way. Thank you for your comment!

People used to travel on work on this route,so it is better either early or later. Moreover, the route is in the mid of desrt like place so except winter it is not at all comfortable to travel in this road in the day time.You will get Ramdeora, Pokhran,Chandan etc. small towns enroute.

Bear in mind many of the gazillion Indian bus companies just won't be online or inadequately so if they are, and it's still very much a figure it out on the ground-affair. Buses are usually plentiful, and Rajasthan is well-served by them.

There are frequent buses between Bikaner and Jaisalmer, throughout the day. You can buy tickets at many travel agents in either city.

How are you arriving in Bikaner? If it's from the south then you might find that the bus or train on which you're arriving calls at Deshnok (for the Karni Mata Temple) before it reaches Bikaner.
