Bus from Mysore to Cochin

Dear All:

I read there is a nightbus from Mysore to Cochin, which is the fastest way to get from Mysore to Cochin.

Does anyone know when the bus departs from Mysore? Are there websites which inform about bus schedules? Is it correct that the journey takes approx. 16h? Can I book the ticket in advance?

Not sure about Mysore to Cochin (KOCHI) buses. Most of them starts from Bangalore and goes without touching Mysore.

If you are not interested in coming to Bangalore then you can take a bus from Mysore to Kozhikode (calicut). There are plenty of them. You will get tickets from any travel agency in Mysore OR you can take State run KSRTC buses.

Most of them will be night services and will reach Kozhikode by early morning. From the bus stop you can head to Railway Station directly. Kozhikode is 4 to 5 hours from Kochi if you go by train. On Indian railway site you have to search for KOZHIKKODE to ERNAKULAM (kochi). You can do this booking online.

I guess Train No:6350 PARASURAM EXP or 6308 ALLEPPEY EXP(not available on all days) will take you to kochi by Lunch time. Both have AC Chair cars (CC).

Place names are confusing. But you will not find kochi in raiway site,its called ERNAKULAM. Similarly calicut is KOZHIKKODE. There is no direct train from Mysore to these places. As you said its a long journey.
