backwater house boats, powered or manual?
Hi,
We will be visiting kerala this summer, and want to take that dream backwater cruise. Googling and IMing my way, i found the bacwaters is an unique experience. Also, i found that boats are both powered by an outboard and manual (usally pushing the boat with a long baboo). So here is my question: What type of boat is better: a)motor powered or b) manual. Two years ago we were in orissa, and visited the dolphin park. We went on a boat, and belive me, it had one of the craziest onboard motors i have ever seen. They were smelly and extremely noisy. Similar noisy motor powered boats we found in Varanasi as well. Would appreciate if you can share your opinion and/or experience. Thanks Daniel |
