Auto-rickshaw racers leave Madras
The first Madras-Mumbai auto-rickshaw rally has begun in the south Indian city with 72 participants from across the world - though none from India.
The rally is intended to be an annual event, showcasing India's rich heritage and its multicultural society along the 1,900km (1,200 mile)route. Read more....

Auto-Rickshaw Race Madras - Bombay
72 Auto-Rickshaw drivers leave Madras to Bombay in this classical race. The rally is 1900 km long and the drivers will reach Bombay on 17th August. Oddly enough, none of the 72 participants are from India.

of course none are from India. Desi drivers are locked in a desperate, day to day battle for survival, trying to make the rent of the vehicle and feed their families.
