Beautiful pictures and informative write up of off-beat places in Nilgiri. I can guess the time you must have spent in writing this report with pictures. For me it is a pain in the neck to adjust pictures with text in this type of write up.

Sadanand, I agree with you, its tiresome inserting photos and getting them in the right place which I have not yet mastered. It is worse in Travelpod. Over here, at least with inserts from Flickr, you do not have to adjust the text but I have not yet fathomed how to get the image in a particular place.

Velu, do you know anything about those parcels tied to the tree trunk?

The snake in your photograph seems to be a Montane Trinket Snake (Elaphe helena monticollaris) or possibly a Common Trinket Snake (Coelognathus helena)

Thanks for the ID Chayant. I dont know anything about snakes but Im always happy to see them in their natural habitat.
