Sounds like a really good book! I might try to track this down.

I just finished Candy by Luke Davies, a book I have been meaning to read for years, and is soon to be a movie apparently? I saw it at a second hand book stall and had finished it by the next day. An amazing read, very touching. A fictional work, but I am certain it is based on actual events. No way could you write with that much passion without experiencing something similar first.

Highly Recommended!

I have read it last year during my trek at Uttaranchal. Its very good book trying to explain what happens up there; when the things go wrong.Or how can people brew up the wrong...

Presently, I am reading 'A Walk Across Ameriaca' by Peter Jenkins

Kite Runner is a fine book.

I'm reading Shantaram now - love this book.

What is arthshastra about? I can't seem to find it on amazon.

Yes, it is a really nice book! Have you read The Princess? Check it out if you like reading about other cultures.

Now I'm working in the library, I'm reading a few books together....

'Pity The Nation' by Robert Fisk, about the Lebanese Civil War
'Empire' by Niall Ferguson, re-reading this one
'Age of Kali' by William Dalrymple, I'm sure you've all heard of
'Occidentalism' by Ian Buruma & Avishai Margalit, a short history of anti-westernism
