"Travelling with Che Guevara" was simply awesome.......
"Snow Leopard" is turning out to be more of Buddhism and Philosophy so its taking longer to finish.
Well as far as course material is concerned....its better not to say anything.....

have just read a wonderful book called 'blue is the colour of heaven' by an aussie called richard loseby.
It is the story of his travels through iraq, iran and finally (his main objective) afghanistan aided by contacts he has made with mujahedeen.
It is a quite incredible travel experience and unlike anything i could or indeed ever would want to have but you have to hand it to him. I found the connections he makes with individual mujahedeen very moving and genuine, and even the big question of why someone would want to travel through a warzone gets answered (sort of) right at the end.

Very good stuff!

Next year, back to India!

'cathedrals of the flesh' by alexia brue. a travel story about one woman's search for the perfect bath house experience. she travels from turkey through greece, russia, finland and japan.
it's lighthearted, entertaining and extremely educational.

and now i'm thinking a bath house tour of the world seems like quite a cool idea...

I am now re-reading 'Gulliver's Travels' for the first time since I was about 6 or 7 years old.

Also currently reading 'Personal Narrative of a Pilgrimage to Madina and Mecca', by Richard Burton, maybe the first non-Muslim to make the Haj. Great stuff!!!

Buddha Discourses

Greetings
Here is a different one that I am slowly working my way through: "The Middle Length Discourses of the Buddha" translation of Majjhiman Nikaya, translated by Bhikku Nanamoil and Bhikkhu Bodhi

Great for my mediation practice, I get more info out of the notes often than the discourses.

I also read lots of Stephan King and Dean Koonts, now that a wide variety of literacy input.
Kind of like shock treatment and mediation at the same time

Separate question: Could some one PM me as how to insert special characters item my messages.I often can't spell names properly due to lack of knowledge with special characters and does IM messages have a spellcheck?

your spelling champion (not)- gregor
