And one song for sure in this movie would be...
aasmaan se aaya farishta....

Now this is going too far... I dread to imagine Spiderman's eyes brimming with gycerine and then prancing around the trees in dhoti, but hey, Spidey did cry in the sequel, didn't he?!.

Today's comic Tip: Watch a hindi movie song with a voice-over of aerobics instruction class

I've already told John that on our next trip (in only two months - WOW!!!!!!!) that I'm going to load up on Amar Chitra Comics. I have a goal of getting 100 titles. The India Bookhouse and Journal here in Chicago charges $3.00 a copy which is prohibative.

I'm also planning on buying lots of educational posters. Last year we bought about three dozen of those and have been rotating them on the bathroom wall. I also plan on buying lots of toothpaste and hair oil and other pharmasuitacles (however that word is spelled!). I think that it's the things that are more common place which have had the most importance for me when I thnk about the things we bought last year. I mean, I love the Kashmiri embroidered carpet but those posters are fun and educational, and the pharmawhatevers are very, very useful. (Hurray for Kasturi hair oil! My hair has never been better!)

Anyway, I was glad to see a post about Amar Chitra Katha. And that link to that story was very interesting.

Educational posters in bathroom??!! . What education? Parts of Human Body

Just be careful in picking up road side posters. In posters like world-map and the line the not-so-well-known publishers do not really honor the international borders and have their own geography.

Yeah, I thought that part might come up for some snickering, but anyway... They're in the bathroom because they don't really work well in the living room, bedroom, or kitchen. We've lots of posters about animals, veggies, fables, community workers... and, of course, human body.
