Serj Tankian - The Sky is Over (should listen to it loud, imho)

Hey, I have a question about buying music in India... Is it common to buy individual songs digitally, like from itunes & amazon? If so, are there sites in India that have a better selection of Indian music? What are the sites, and are they any cheaper? It's ~$1 (~40 rupees) per song on the US sites; seems expensive in India, naa? Or is it more common to buy full CD's, and how much do they cost? Thanks.

more common to buy full CD's...there are sites starting to emerge which have the per song download option but not as extensive in the US plus its expensive... one of the priced it at 12 per song... if i take an average of 10 songs then that's 120 INR.... tapes here are around 50-60 and CD's 150 or so...

This site http://www.saregama.com/Index.aspx , is actually a manufacturer as well...they have priced it at 24 per song....just too expensive... plus Indian still has a very relaxed policy on 'downloading' so a lot of people get their music from there...

Please note that the prices i am mentioning for a CD and a tape are for hindi music only..not english stuff (they ofcourse can cost as much as 500 INR for a cd)
